PASSIVE VOICE

1)      We always use V3

2)      Subject in active will become object in passive

3)      Object in active will become subject in passive

4)      Always use transitive verb

1. Transitive verbs   : verb need object
2. Intransitive verbs : verb does not need object

 

1. Present tense in Passive

Ex : I watch a film (active)

       A film is watched by me

 

1. Past tense in Passive

Ex : I rode a bicycle yesterday (active)

       A bicycle was ridden by me yesterday

 

1. Present continuous in Passive

Ex : he is reading a history of Majapahit Kingdom (active)

        A history of majapahit is being read by him

 

1. Past continuous in Passive

Ex : they were playing soccer behind the house (active)

        Soccer was being played by them behind the house
